Abigail Stason is a Wall Street refugee who has become a master teacher, author, and executive coach. Through workshops and webinars, she helps clients like Meta (Facebook) and Stripe evolve their organizations through conscious leadership. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Abby on several presentations and enjoy the challenge of helping her find just the right visuals and metaphors to match her teachings.

The right visual metaphor

Diversity and Inclusion is a relevant topic in our public discourse, and it is a wide-ranging subject with various stakeholders. To help Abby visually convey this vital concept, I curated several images of colorful children’s blocks. These blocks not only represent the complex and diverse constituents in any given population (race, gender, sexual orientation), but also illustrate how the human mind categorizes and assembles biases and stereotypes.

“Michael is a master at taking a concept and making it super inviting. His work is appropriately thought-provoking, and he challenges people in an inspirational way. I’m always in awe of what he creates - it’s not always easy to capture, and he makes it looks simple. Working with Michael is downright easy and fun all the way around.
